Questions about the Mascot Day sites

FAQs |
Q: What is "Mascot Day"? A: Mascot Day is the universal term for the event that happens right before the first day of school or during the first week of school. Each school site refers to their event using their mascot name: Burton Valley Bobcat Day, Lafayette Elementary Leopard Day, Happy Valley Husky Day, Springhill Scorpion Day, and Stanley Wildcat Day. This year, some schools will not have in-person Mascot Days. Instead, families will log on at specific times before school starts to obtain their teacher assignments. Some schools may have Welcome Back events, so please refer to your school's registration content (Step 3) for information. The first day of school is Tuesday, August 13. See the district calendar for additional important dates. Q: Is RegHub Completion required? A: Completing the Lafayette School District online Data Confirmation process is REQUIRED for your child to remain enrolled in the district. Please complete your school's Mascot Day registration to expedite that day's activities. Q:Why donate to LPIE? A: LPIE is a community-driven fundraising organization that supplements state funding for programs that promote innovation and academic excellence in the public schools of Lafayette. Founded in 1980, LPIE provides a means for parents and community members to invest in their children’s public education. That need has grown from a few thousand dollars a year to a multi-million dollar commitment that helps to maintain rigorous academics and educational opportunities that would otherwise not be possible. In the 2023-24 school year, LPIE raised over $4.5 million to support our six public schools. From weekly art classes and science lessons at the elementary schools, to award-winning music and expanded electives at Stanley Middle School, and so much more, every student's education is enriched through donations to LPIE. Your gift maintains the high quality of schools in Lafayette and is tax-deductible. Q: What if I can’t donate the suggested amount? A: Whether you can give $185 or $1,850, it is your participation that counts! Every dollar counts toward providing our schools with teachers, staff, and resources to deliver the best education possible to our students. In addition, participation communicates to our children and teachers that we support them and encourages other community members to donate. We invite you to give at a level that is meaningful for your family. And remember, donations can be given on a monthly basis and spread out over time. Q: Every time I try to check out, PayPal gives me a "Sorry - your last action could not be completed" message. Help! A: If you are having trouble checking out, it may be due to not having cookies enabled on your browser. To fix this issue, turn on your cookies or download and try using a new browser. You are required to have cookies enabled in order to complete the checkout process of PayPal. Q: What if for some reason I stop mid-way through RegHub? Can I restart? A: Yes, you can enter the home page at www.reghub.org and click the navigation button (top of page) until you get to the section that needs completing. Q: Why can't I enter my credit card information just once? A: The RegHub.org is a centralized "directional" site that does not store demographic or credit card information. Your browser may support automatic form filling which will help reduce the amount of repeat data entry. Please review this data carefully! Q: I have questions that aren't answered here. Who do I contact? A: Please see our Contact Us list, above. |
