As part of registration, we’d love to introduce you to Lafayette Partners in Education (LPIE) — our local nonprofit that helps fund the programs and staff that make our public schools exceptional.
What does LPIE fund?
LPIE helps pay for:
· Classroom aides and support staff to help keep class sizes small
· Credentialed science, art, and music teachers
· Technology, classroom supplies, and enhanced learning resources
· 28 exciting electives at Stanley Middle School, including the teachers who make them possible
These programs are not fully funded by the state, but they’re what make school engaging and inspiring for our kids.
Why does LPIE ask for donations?
The Lafayette School District is among the lowest funded in the state, receiving about $5,000 less per student than it actually costs to provide the level of education we want for our kids. LPIE was created by parents—just like you—to close that gap and give all students what they need to thrive.
We ask families to consider giving $2,000 per student each year to fill our funding gap—but every gift makes a difference.
We know that’s not possible for everyone—and that’s okay. To help, most parents donate on a monthly basis to help distribute their investment in our students and schools. Monthly contributions of $100 or $50 or one-time gifts of $500 are equally needed and appreciated.
Every donation, at any level, makes an impact.
Whether it’s a one-time gift or a monthly pledge, your support directly benefits your child’s classroom. And all donations are tax-deductible.
